Chip Capobianco also plays a big role in the events of Dolorosa Arabians. One of the strong and experienced trainers, Chip takes his role as Dolorosa`s Breeding Manager very seriously.

Chips family began breeding Arabians in Massachusetts in 1963. In 1971, the day after his high school graduation, he left for Al Marah Arabians in Maryland, for an 18 month apprenticeship. In 1973 he started a professional training and breeding facility at Windkist Arabians, which handled and cared for up to 100 horses. He then joined Hidden Hill Arabians where he stayed until the summer of 1996, when he and his wife Nancy and daughter Travis came to Dolorosa. He owes much to his friend and mentor Don DeLongpre, with whose help he has achieved many National Top Ten honours. Chip`s experiences as a trainer only accent his educational background in equine breeding. Colorado State University`s courses on Equine Reproductive Management and Artificial Insemination and enrolment in North Carolina State University`s courses make Chip another highly educated and experienced asset. He looks forward to furthering that education at Dolorosa. Chip will continue to add much depth to the team as a trainer as well as the Breeding Manager.

Chip`s wife and daughter, Nancy and Travis, great all-around athletes, who include skiing as one of their favourite sports, will be a big part in Dolorosa`s Amateur division.

"We look forward to a great future at Dolorosa. We have a tremendous team to work with as well as an unbelievable new group of friends," says Chip. "Everyone offers so much to contribute."
